We had a superb day on Friday 4th may.
In cloughjordon the children from 1st to 6th visited the wecreate lab in the eco village and had great fun completing workshops in
Light as Energy – Learning About Lasers
Little Bits – Learn and Invent with Electronics
Heat as Energy – Printing in 3 Dimensions
I am a Designer – How We Make Things
Juniors & senior infants visited knocknacree woods close by and played games along the route and even read some of the beautiful Thomas McDonagh poetry along the way.
It was a great time to visit Cloughjordon as it was 102 years and 1 day since Thomas mcdonagh was killed in kilmainham. We remembered him as the only Tipperary signatory on the 1916 proclamation. His parents were the school teachers in Cloughjordon.
We all then climbed the Devils bit . It was so much fun and we were lucky to be joined by some of our parents, grannies & siblings. The weather could not have been nicer so it made it all the better.
