Tuesday March 15th, 2016 is Proclamation Day. This is the day when every school in the country is invited to share the results of their Proclamation for a New Generation, and all other creative projects relating to 1916 that the student body have developed.
Is é Dé Máirt, an 15 Márta 2016, Lá an Fhorógra. Seo é an lá a dtugtar cuireadh do gach scoil sa tír torthaí a ‘Forógra do Ghlúin Nua’ a roinnt mar aon le gach tionscadal cruthaitheach eile a bhaineann le 1916 agus atá forbartha ag na scoláirí.

We had a super day. There was huge support from all in the community and the children really made a  great occasion of the day by commemorating those of 1916 with music and song.  We rose the flag at 12pm and all in attendance were invited to go back in time as they delved through the roll books and family trees of the current children attending.

The children did a lot of research about the parish, pupils in 1916, their own family links and Monsignor Dooley was most helpful when he visited us and told us lots of detail on local parish links. We displayed quite a lot of our work.

It was a most enjoyable day🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
