Mrs Kathrine Maher is the Junior Room Class Teacher. She took up her position in Castleiney National School in September 2013 as class teacher and served as principal 2015 to 2018.
In September 2018, Kathrine stepped down from her role as teaching principal but remains in the school as assistant principal and class teacher. Kathrine teaches Junior infants, Senior infants, 1st and 2nd Class.
