The term Additional Educational Need (AEN) refers to any pupil that requires more support because of a disability or diagnosis. It also refers to the needs of exceptionally able pupils so they are challenged and supported in an educational setting. At CNS, we have measures, strategies and practices to support students with additional educational needs. The Additional Educational Needs Lead Teacher, Mr Harkin (PGDSEN) works closely with outside agencies, staff, parents and the pupil themselves to ensure that every pupil is receiving a level of support that will help them succeed at school. This support is well planned, individually targeted and of high quality as we leave no stone unturned in supporting our students to reach their full potential.
